Terms of Use

HotAtlas is a geography-based game built around exploration, deduction, map interaction, proximity feedback, and identifying hidden countries or other geographic targets.

Depending on the game mode and App version, the player may:

• tap or scan locations on a map;
• receive distance, proximity, heat, direction, or other clues;
• narrow down a hidden geographic target;
• submit a country or other geographic answer;
• earn scores or complete challenges;
• build streaks or progression;
• use hints;
• participate in Daily Challenges;
• practice geographic knowledge through additional game modes; and
• interact with other functionality made available by the App.

Scanning and answering may be separate gameplay actions.

The App is intended primarily for entertainment and general educational use.

HotAtlas is not an authoritative geographic, political, diplomatic, legal, navigational, surveying, or territorial reference service.

You must be at least 13 years old, or the higher minimum age required in your jurisdiction for independent use of comparable digital services, to use the App independently.

If you are not legally capable of agreeing to these Terms, you may use the App only with the authorization and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

The parent or legal guardian is responsible for the minor’s use of the App.

You may not use the App where applicable law prohibits you from doing so.

HotAtlas does not currently require a HotAtlas account to play.

Future versions may introduce optional:

• accounts;
• cloud synchronization;
• cloud saves;
• leaderboards;
• achievements;
• multiplayer functionality;
• social functionality;
• Game Center integration; or
• other online functionality.

Additional terms or requirements may apply if such functionality is introduced.

Subject to these Terms and applicable Apple terms, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable license to install and use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by Apple’s usage rules.

You may not:

• copy, distribute, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App itself;
• circumvent purchases, advertising requirements, feature restrictions, security measures, or technical controls;
• manipulate purchase validation or rewarded-ad completion;
• reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, or attempt to derive the App’s source code except where applicable law expressly permits;
• exploit vulnerabilities or bugs to manipulate gameplay, scores, hints, purchases, advertisements, or future online functionality;
• interfere with the App or related services;
• introduce malicious code;
• gain unauthorized access to HotAtlas infrastructure or third-party services used by the App;
• use automated tools to attack, scrape, manipulate, or interfere with future HotAtlas online services;
• impersonate HotAtlas or falsely claim affiliation with the App; or
• use HotAtlas branding, graphics, interface elements, trademarks, or other proprietary materials without authorization.

Separate licenses may apply to open-source software, geographic datasets, fonts, graphics, flags, or other third-party components.

HotAtlas currently stores gameplay state primarily on your device.

This may include:

• game progress;
• scan history;
• guesses;
• completed and active games;
• scores;
• streaks;
• Daily Challenge progress;
• discovered countries;
• hints;
• settings;
• preferences; and
• other gameplay information.

You are responsible for maintaining access to your device and for any backups you wish to preserve.

Changing devices, deleting the App, clearing App data, restoring a device, modifying system settings, operating-system updates, or hardware or software failure may result in loss of locally stored information.

Except where required by applicable law, we are not responsible for locally stored gameplay information that is lost, corrupted, overwritten, or deleted.

HotAtlas is a game rather than a measurement instrument.

Gameplay systems may include:

• map scanning;
• proximity states;
• heat or temperature metaphors;
• estimated distance;
• direction;
• geographic polygons;
• scan history;
• hints;
• scores;
• streaks;
• challenges;
• progression; and
• other mechanics.

These systems may intentionally simplify, generalize, adapt, or reinterpret real-world geography to provide understandable, fair, and enjoyable gameplay.

A displayed distance, proximity level, heat level, direction, border relationship, or other geographic result may therefore differ from another map, geographic dataset, navigation system, surveying method, political classification, or mathematical distance model.

HotAtlas may calculate gameplay distance or proximity using rules designed for gameplay fairness rather than a single universal geographic measurement standard.

Depending on the applicable feature, calculations may use or take into account:

• country polygons;
• nearest valid points;
• representative points;
• mainland areas;
• islands;
• approved geographic areas;
• overseas territories;
• simplified geometry;
• curated exceptions;
• excluded geographic areas;
• geographic centroids; or
• hybrid gameplay rules.

Accordingly, any displayed distance, proximity, heat, direction, or similar result should be understood as a HotAtlas gameplay value.

It is not a certified geographic or geodetic measurement.

You must not rely on HotAtlas for:

• navigation;
• aviation;
• maritime navigation;
• surveying;
• property boundaries;
• emergency response;
• border crossing;
• legal territorial determinations;
• military purposes; or
• any other consequential activity requiring authoritative geographic information.

HotAtlas uses a curated geographic content policy.

The set of countries, territories, or other geographic entities included in a game mode may not correspond exactly to:

• ISO country lists;
• United Nations membership;
• every government’s recognition policy;
• another geographic game;
• a third-party mapping provider;
• a particular geographic database; or
• a particular political or legal classification.

HotAtlas may independently determine whether to include, exclude, combine, classify, or otherwise handle:

• sovereign states;
• dependencies;
• overseas territories;
• partially recognized states;
• disputed territories;
• islands;
• archipelagos;
• enclaves;
• exclaves;
• remote territories; and
• other geographic entities.

These decisions may be made for:

• gameplay;
• fairness;
• localization;
• usability;
• consistency;
• technical constraints;
• legal considerations; or
• product-design purposes.

Maps necessarily depict borders, territories, names, and classifications about which governments, organizations, communities, datasets, and individuals may disagree.

The appearance, omission, labeling, classification, or treatment of any:

• country;
• territory;
• border;
• disputed region;
• dependency;
• sovereignty claim;
• geographic name;
• partially recognized state; or
• political classification

within HotAtlas does not constitute recognition, endorsement, rejection, approval, or expression of a political or diplomatic position by HotAtlas.

A boundary shown in the App is not intended to determine:

• sovereignty;
• jurisdiction;
• ownership;
• title to territory;
• legal status;
• recognition;
• governmental authority; or
• international legal position.

HotAtlas may use simplified, curated, generalized, or gameplay-specific boundaries.

No map, game result, country classification, or accepted answer within HotAtlas should be relied upon as an authoritative statement regarding territorial status.

Country and territory names may vary according to:

• language;
• locale;
• transliteration;
• historical usage;
• political convention;
• international organization;
• jurisdiction;
• commonly used short names; and
• source dataset.

HotAtlas may use localized display names and may accept:

• alternate names;
• common names;
• abbreviations;
• transliterations;
• language-specific variants; or
• other aliases

where supported.

The acceptance or rejection of a particular name as a gameplay answer is a game-design decision and is not intended as a political judgment.

We may modify accepted names, aliases, spellings, or translations to improve gameplay, accuracy, localization, fairness, or consistency.

HotAtlas maps are provided for entertainment and gameplay.

They may:

• omit geographic detail;
• simplify coastlines;
• simplify borders;
• omit minor islands;
• generalize shapes;
• combine geographic entities;
• use simplified polygons;
• use gameplay-specific geometry;
• differ from official maps;
• differ from government maps;
• differ from another mapping provider;
• contain cartographic inaccuracies;
• use different names from another source; or
• change between App versions or localizations.

HotAtlas should not be treated as an official map or authoritative geographic database.

Hidden countries, targets, Daily Challenges, hints, geographic questions, or other game content may be selected according to local or future online algorithms and curated rules.

We do not guarantee:

• that every geographic entity will appear;
• equal probability of selection;
• a particular difficulty level;
• that every game will have identical geographic conditions;
• that all players will receive identical non-Daily games;
• permanent availability of a particular target;
• absence of repeated targets; or
• that game-selection logic will remain unchanged.

We may modify target pools, weighting, generation rules, or geographic content to improve:

• fairness;
• gameplay quality;
• geographic accuracy;
• localization;
• difficulty;
• compatibility; or
• technical reliability.

HotAtlas may provide a Daily Challenge intended to be completed within a particular day or period.

The Daily Challenge is currently determined locally by the App.

Future versions may coordinate Daily Challenges through online services.

A Daily Challenge may depend on factors including:

• device date;
• device time;
• local time zone;
• App version;
• challenge configuration;
• geographic-content version; or
• other technical factors.

Changing your device time, time zone, App data, operating system, or App version may affect Daily Challenge availability or recorded completion.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to a particular Daily Challenge.

HotAtlas may calculate and display:

• scores;
• streaks;
• scan counts;
• completion counts;
• performance records;
• Daily Challenge results;
• progression;
• discovered countries;
• records; and
• other gameplay statistics.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, such values exist solely for gameplay and entertainment.

Scores are not:

• money;
• cryptocurrency;
• financial assets;
• stored value;
• property with guaranteed monetary value; or
• redeemable rewards.

Scores cannot currently be:

• withdrawn;
• redeemed for money;
• sold;
• transferred to another user;
• exchanged for cryptocurrency; or
• converted into cash.

We may modify scoring systems, statistics, progression rules, streak calculations, or game balance.

Previous scores or records do not guarantee identical scoring behavior in future App versions.

HotAtlas may provide gameplay hints.

Hints may be:

• included with the App;
• provided through gameplay;
• purchased through an in-app purchase;
• obtained after viewing a rewarded advertisement;
• provided as part of a challenge or promotion; or
• made available through another clearly disclosed method.

Hints may reveal different amounts or types of information depending on:

• game mode;
• App version;
• challenge type;
• difficulty; or
• available hint system.

Using a hint may affect score, statistics, progression, challenge outcomes, or other gameplay state where the App indicates such an effect.

HotAtlas currently may offer consumable in-app purchases that provide a specified quantity of hints.

The exact:

• quantity;
• price;
• currency;
• product description; and
• gameplay benefit

will be displayed before purchase.

Consumable hints are consumed when used according to the App’s gameplay rules.

Because consumable purchases represent items that can be spent or used, consumed hints generally cannot be restored through a standard Restore Purchases mechanism.

Payments are charged through your Apple ID and processed by Apple.

We do not receive your complete payment-card or banking information.

Future versions may offer additional purchase types permitted by Apple, including different consumable or non-consumable products.

If subscriptions, promotional offers, bundles, or other purchase models are introduced, their material conditions will be shown before purchase and governed by applicable Apple requirements and consumer law.

No purchase transfers ownership of:

• the App;
• HotAtlas intellectual property;
• game mechanics;
• geographic datasets;
• HotAtlas branding;
• source code; or
• other underlying intellectual property.

Purchases and refunds are administered by Apple according to Apple’s policies and applicable law.

Refund requests should generally be submitted through Apple.

Nothing in these Terms excludes any refund, cancellation, statutory guarantee, or consumer right that cannot legally be waived.

If Apple refunds, reverses, or revokes a purchase, related hints or purchased benefits may be removed, adjusted, or invalidated where technically possible and legally permitted.

HotAtlas may be supported in whole or in part by advertising.

The App currently may offer rewarded advertising that you voluntarily choose to view in exchange for a disclosed gameplay benefit such as a hint.

Future versions may introduce additional advertising formats.

Advertisements may be supplied by third-party advertising providers.

We do not necessarily endorse any advertised:

• product;
• service;
• application;
• website;
• claim;
• promotion; or
• offer.

Your interactions or transactions with an advertiser are between you and that advertiser except where applicable law provides otherwise.

Advertising-related data practices are described in the Privacy Policy and applicable consent interfaces.

A rewarded advertisement provides a gameplay benefit only when the applicable advertising system and the App successfully determine that the required advertising interaction has been completed.

A reward may not be granted where:

• an advertisement is unavailable;
• the advertisement fails to load;
• the advertisement is interrupted;
• the advertising provider experiences an error;
• the App is closed before completion;
• network communication fails;
• completion cannot be validated;
• the provider does not report completion;
• fraud or manipulation is detected; or
• another technical condition prevents successful reward delivery.

Where reasonable and technically possible, we may attempt to avoid the loss of legitimate rewards.

However, we do not guarantee that every advertising request, advertisement, or reward will complete successfully.

You must not:

• automate rewarded-ad viewing;
• falsify completion;
• tamper with advertising SDKs;
• manipulate network traffic;
• exploit bugs to receive rewards; or
• otherwise interfere with rewarded advertising.

Advertising availability may vary based on:

• country;
• region;
• age-related settings;
• consent choices;
• tracking permission;
• advertising inventory;
• provider policies;
• device configuration;
• network conditions;
• advertising eligibility; and
• other factors outside our control.

A rewarded-ad option may therefore be unavailable at any particular time.

We do not guarantee:

• continuous ad availability;
• a minimum number of ads;
• a minimum number of free hints obtainable through advertising; or
• availability of a particular advertising format.

HotAtlas may use analytics, diagnostic, performance-monitoring, attribution, security, or fraud-prevention technologies as described in the Privacy Policy.

These systems may be used to:

• understand App usage;
• understand gameplay flows;
• measure feature adoption;
• measure engagement and retention;
• identify technical issues;
• detect crashes;
• improve performance;
• measure advertising functionality;
• understand purchase functionality;
• prevent fraud;
• protect the App; and
• improve future versions.

Analytics data does not create any entitlement to:

• a particular feature;
• a particular gameplay mechanic;
• a particular interface;
• continued availability of a feature; or
• a particular future product decision.

HotAtlas may offer local notifications, including reminders relating to gameplay or Daily Challenges.

Notification delivery depends on:

• device permissions;
• iOS behavior;
• notification settings;
• Focus modes;
• device state;
• time-zone settings; and
• other system-level factors.

You may disable notifications through iOS Settings.

We do not guarantee that a local notification will be delivered at a particular time.

Future versions may introduce remote notifications subject to applicable privacy and platform requirements.

If HotAtlas provides sharing functionality, you may be able to share:

• game results;
• result cards;
• scores;
• text;
• images; or
• other App content

through iOS or third-party services.

You are responsible for deciding:

• what you share;
• with whom you share it; and
• where you share it.

Once information leaves HotAtlas, we do not control how recipients or third-party services process, reproduce, distribute, store, or use it.

Future versions of HotAtlas may introduce online functionality including:

• remote configuration;
• synchronized Daily Challenges;
• content updates;
• cloud saves;
• accounts;
• leaderboards;
• achievements;
• multiplayer;
• Game Center functionality;
• social features;
• friends;
• statistics;
• server-side progression;
• fraud detection;
• analytics;
• diagnostics;
• push notifications; or
• other network-based functionality.

We do not guarantee that any particular future feature will be introduced.

Online functionality may require:

• an internet connection;
• compatible App version;
• supported region;
• third-party services;
• server availability; or
• additional permissions.

We may modify, suspend, replace, restrict, or discontinue future online functionality where reasonably necessary.

HotAtlas may interact with third-party services, SDKs, platforms, or providers including:

• Apple;
• App Store services;
• advertising providers;
• consent-management providers;
• analytics providers;
• crash-reporting providers;
• attribution providers;
• performance-monitoring providers;
• security providers;
• hosting providers;
• cloud services;
• content-delivery networks;
• future backend providers; or
• other services required for App functionality.

Such third parties may have their own terms and privacy policies.

We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, availability, content, security, policies, or conduct except to the extent responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.

Use of a third-party service through or in connection with HotAtlas may also be subject to that service’s terms.

Your use of the App is also subject to Apple’s applicable App Store terms and Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

You acknowledge that:

• these Terms are between you and the App’s developer, not Apple;
• Apple is not responsible for providing maintenance or support for the App;
• Apple is not responsible for the App’s gameplay, maps, advertising, geographic content, or related functionality except where applicable law provides otherwise;
• Apple and its subsidiaries are intended third-party beneficiaries of provisions concerning your license to use the App and may enforce those provisions; and
• you must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the App.

If these Terms conflict with mandatory Apple requirements concerning distribution or licensing through the App Store, the applicable Apple requirements control to the extent of that conflict.

Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement is available at:

The App and its original materials, including where applicable:

• software;
• source code;
• game design;
• game mechanics as protectable under applicable law;
• graphics;
• visual design;
• branding;
• interface;
• animations;
• text;
• sounds;
• icons;
• layouts; and
• other original content

are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Except for the limited license granted by these Terms, no ownership rights are transferred to you.

Geographic datasets, flags, open-source software, fonts, maps, icons, or other third-party materials may be governed by separate rights or licenses.

HotAtlas may contain or use:

• open-source software;
• geographic datasets;
• third-party frameworks;
• SDKs;
• fonts;
• icons;
• libraries; or
• other components

governed by separate licenses.

Required copyright, attribution, license, source-code, or notice information may be provided:

• within the App;
• in accompanying files;
• on a designated notices page; or
• at another location referenced by the App.

Where an applicable open-source or third-party license expressly conflicts with these Terms regarding the relevant component, that license controls solely with respect to that component.

You must not use the App to:

• violate applicable law;
• interfere with another person’s device or service;
• exploit security vulnerabilities;
• manipulate purchases;
• manipulate advertisements;
• falsify rewarded-ad completion;
• compromise future HotAtlas infrastructure;
• gain unauthorized access to servers or systems;
• distribute malware;
• conduct fraud;
• manipulate game results through unauthorized technical means;
• impersonate HotAtlas;
• infringe intellectual-property rights; or
• encourage another person to do any of the above.

Where competitive, leaderboard, Daily Challenge verification, multiplayer, social, or online functionality makes cheating relevant, we may take reasonable measures to detect and prevent manipulation.

Prohibited manipulation may include:

• modifying App data;
• exploiting bugs;
• automating gameplay;
• using bots;
• falsifying requests;
• manipulating device time for unfair advantage;
• falsifying purchase events;
• falsifying advertising events;
• modifying challenge data;
• tampering with integrity checks;
• manipulating leaderboard submissions; or
• interfering with server-side validation.

Where reasonably necessary, we may:

• reject invalid results;
• invalidate scores;
• remove leaderboard entries;
• restrict access to online features;
• restrict future purchases or rewards associated with fraud; or
• take other reasonable measures to protect the integrity of the App.

We may release:

• updates;
• bug fixes;
• security fixes;
• gameplay changes;
• compatibility updates;
• geographic-data updates;
• country-policy changes;
• localization updates;
• content changes; or
• new versions.

Certain updates may be necessary for continued:

• compatibility;
• security;
• advertising;
• purchases;
• analytics;
• online functionality; or
• App operation.

We do not guarantee that:

• the App will always be available;
• every feature will remain available;
• every geographic entity will remain in the same game pool;
• geographic classifications will remain unchanged;
• every game will generate successfully;
• every advertisement will be available;
• every rewarded advertisement will grant a reward successfully;
• every notification will be delivered;
• every server or third-party provider will remain available;
• older App versions will remain supported; or
• the App will remain available in every App Store storefront.

We may reasonably modify:

• game mechanics;
• map geometry;
• proximity algorithms;
• distance calculations;
• country pools;
• geographic rules;
• accepted aliases;
• hints;
• scoring;
• streaks;
• progression;
• Daily Challenges;
• difficulty;
• advertising;
• purchase options;
• analytics;
• interface;
• visual presentation;
• online services; or
• other functionality.

Such changes may be made because of:

• gameplay balance;
• geographic accuracy;
• technical constraints;
• security;
• licensing;
• legal requirements;
• localization;
• platform requirements;
• provider changes;
• user experience; or
• product improvement.

Previous scores, results, hints, or gameplay outcomes do not guarantee that future App versions will calculate or present identical results.

We aim to provide coherent and useful geographic gameplay, but we do not guarantee that every:

• border;
• polygon;
• coastline;
• distance;
• direction;
• country name;
• territorial classification;
• flag;
• alias;
• location;
• map feature;
• geographic relationship; or
• geographic fact

is complete, universally accepted, current, or error-free.

Geography may involve:

• different datasets;
• technical uncertainty;
• cartographic simplification;
• historical differences;
• linguistic differences;
• political disagreement;
• territorial disputes; and
• changing international circumstances.

HotAtlas may update geographic content when appropriate.

HotAtlas may help users learn or discover geographic information.

However, the App is primarily a game.

It is not a substitute for:

• educational curriculum;
• academic sources;
• government publications;
• official maps;
• authoritative geographic databases;
• professional geographic analysis; or
• expert instruction.

Educational or factual information in the App may be simplified or adapted for gameplay.

HotAtlas is not designed to provide:

• legal advice;
• navigation;
• emergency information;
• diplomatic guidance;
• military guidance;
• surveying data;
• border-crossing instructions;
• immigration advice;
• maritime navigation;
• aviation information;
• property-boundary information; or
• other professional or high-risk information.

Do not make consequential decisions based solely on HotAtlas.

If you voluntarily provide suggestions, ideas, corrections, geographic feedback, bug reports, feature requests, or other feedback concerning HotAtlas, you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, and incorporate that feedback without restriction or compensation.

This provision does not give us ownership of unrelated personal content you provide in a support communication.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available.”

We disclaim express, implied, and statutory warranties to the extent legally permitted, including warranties of:

• merchantability;
• satisfactory quality;
• fitness for a particular purpose;
• title;
• non-infringement;
• accuracy;
• reliability;
• availability; and
• compatibility.

We do not warrant that:

• operation will always be uninterrupted;
• operation will always be secure;
• operation will always be error-free;
• geographic information will be universally accepted;
• geographic information will be perfectly accurate;
• every scan or distance calculation will match another geographic source;
• every game result will be free from geographic or technical error;
• every advertisement will load;
• every reward will be delivered;
• every Daily Challenge will remain accessible;
• locally stored data can always be recovered;
• every third-party service will remain available;
• every defect will be corrected; or
• the App will meet every user’s expectations.

Some jurisdictions do not permit certain warranty exclusions.

In those jurisdictions, these exclusions apply only to the extent legally permitted.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HotAtlas and its owner, developer, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of:

• profits;
• revenue;
• business;
• opportunity;
• goodwill;
• data;
• gameplay progress;
• scores;
• streaks;
• hints;
• locally stored information;
• rewards; or
• anticipated savings

arising out of or relating to the App.

This includes claims relating to:

• inability to use the App;
• geographic inaccuracies;
• map classifications;
• border depiction;
• territorial classification;
• gameplay calculations;
• lost local progress;
• unavailable advertisements;
• unavailable rewards;
• purchase failures;
• third-party services;
• online-service failures;
• country-policy changes;
• feature changes;
• leaderboard or multiplayer issues; or
• reliance on the App for a purpose for which it was not designed.

Where liability cannot legally be excluded, our aggregate liability arising from the App will not exceed the greater of:

• the amount you paid through HotAtlas during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or
• US$50 or its equivalent in local currency.

These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot legally be limited, including mandatory consumer rights or liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or personal injury where exclusion is prohibited.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless HotAtlas and its owner, developer, affiliates, licensors, and service providers from third-party claims, damages, liabilities, judgments, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising from:

• your unlawful use of the App;
• your material breach of these Terms;
• your violation of another person’s rights;
• your misuse of shared content;
• fraud or manipulation involving purchases or advertisements;
• unauthorized interference with the App; or
• unauthorized interference with related services or infrastructure.

This section does not require you to indemnify a party for its own unlawful conduct and does not apply where prohibited by applicable consumer law.

You may stop using the App at any time.

We may suspend, restrict, or discontinue all or part of the App or future online functionality where reasonably necessary because of:

• security risk;
• material breach;
• fraud;
• abuse;
• cheating;
• technical manipulation;
• legal requirements;
• third-party service changes;
• licensing issues;
• rights-holder requests;
• platform requirements;
• infrastructure limitations; or
• discontinuation of functionality.

Upon termination of your right to use the App, the license granted under these Terms ends.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including provisions concerning intellectual property, geographic content, disclaimers, liability, third-party rights, and disputes—will survive.

You may not use, export, re-export, transfer, or make the App available in violation of applicable export-control, sanctions, or trade laws.

You represent that you are not prohibited from receiving or using the App under laws applicable to its distribution.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights that cannot legally be waived.

A failure by us to enforce any provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the App’s developer is legally established, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory law applicable to your place of residence provides otherwise.

Any dispute will be submitted to a court having lawful jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer rights that may permit you to bring claims before another competent court.

Before filing a claim, you are encouraged to contact us and provide a reasonable opportunity to resolve the matter informally.

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to:

• HotAtlas functionality;
• game modes;
• maps;
• geographic content;
• country policy;
• purchases;
• advertising;
• analytics;
• online services;
• third-party providers;
• legal requirements;
• Apple requirements; or
• business practices.

Updated Terms will be published with a revised effective date.

Where required by applicable law, we will provide additional notice or request acceptance.

Changes will not retroactively remove mandatory consumer rights or alter completed purchases contrary to applicable law.

If any provision of these Terms is found unlawful or unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law and the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, applicable Apple terms, and applicable third-party licenses constitute the agreement governing your use of HotAtlas.

An applicable third-party or open-source license controls only with respect to the material or component governed by that license.
